Modelling the Spectral Index to Detect a Baltic-Type Crude Oil Emulsion Dispersed in the Southern Baltic Sea

چکیده
Information was obtained on the possibility of detecting oil-in-water emulsions located under sea based modelling directional distribution radiance field above water surface. The optical model used applies to southern Baltic Sea, while oil emulsion is properties crude extracted in this region sea. analyses were carried out taking into account eight wavelengths range 412–676 nm, assuming different thicknesses layer contaminated with oil. most favourable combination two (555/412 nm) for determination an index related polluted area compared same oil-free (difference index) identified, value which indicative presence water. Changes difference depending viewing direction are shown almost entire upper hemisphere (zenith angles from 0° 80°). observation directions detection should be effective shown.

Spatial heterogeneity of nutrients in the Baltic Proper, Baltic Sea
The Baltic Proper shows many signs of eutrophication. Nutrient changes over time have been discernable, and also within the Sea there are large spatial patterns. Present study analyses the spatial patterns of dissolved inorganic nitrogen and phosphorus as well as dissolved silicate (DSi) in the euphotic zone for the period 1990-2001. The focus is on the spatial heterogeneity with the aim to ide...
متن کاملModelling the exceptional Baltic Sea inflow events in 2002–2003
[1] During 2002 and 2003 exceptional inflow events have been registered. In January 2003 a massive inflow of highly saline, cold and extremely oxygen-rich water from the North Sea was recorded at Darss Sill. This event is considered to be the most important inflow since 1993. A coupled model system for the Baltic Sea region, called BALTIMOS, was developed in the frame of DEKLIM/ BALTEX by linki...

متن کاملPrevalence of anisakin nematodes in fish from Southern Baltic Sea.
Nematodes from the superfamily Ascaridoidea (families Anisakidae and Raphidascarididae) are worldwide distributed parasites. Their live cycles include many species of water invertebrates and teleostean fish as intermediate hosts, and fish, sea mammals or fish-eating birds being definitive hosts. Humans can be infected with some of these parasites after consumption of raw or wrongly processed fi...
